Speaker 1: Before we get too far into this video, a huge shout-out to Custom Cages. Thank you guys so much for hooking me up with these amazing enclosures. I love them so much and they have so many different cages. If you’re not a reptile person but you still like watching reptiles or you just don’t want a reptile or you do but you don’t have them or something any of those options.
They also have enclosures for other animals like birds. They have amazing bird aviaries. They’re such good bird aviaries and they even have enclosures for cats, which is super awesome. I know it might sound kind of funny, a cage for a cat, but it’s actually wonderful because then you can let your cat outside without having it risking injuries or any illness.
Also, it’s helpful for the wild bird and squirrel population, because they don’t have to be hunted on yet your cat can still get– sorry. But your cats can still get the benefits of being outside.
Without further ado, let’s just get right on to the video, I just wanted to add that in there because they are amazing. Hey guys, what’s up and welcome to my channel or welcome back to my channel if you’ve seen some of my previous videos. A little while back, I set up a bioactive enclosure for my ball python, [unintelligible 00:01:15]. It was really fun. I enjoyed it. I’ve just put her in it today. You guys could just see that and it was really exciting and a lot of fun to do.
I’m just going to give you a little enclosure tour. This isn’t necessarily a tutorial or anything, but it is kind of more like an enclosure tour and maybe it could help you out if you want to do a bioactive ball python enclosure for sure, but other than that, let’s just get right into the video because it was a lot of fun and spoiler alert, [unintelligible 00:01:49] loves her new enclosure. I know that might sound anthropomorphic but she kept slithering around and exploring it. Well, anyways, let me just show it to you.
Speaker 1: All right. Right over here we have her warm hide. It basically is just a little half log hide with two pieces of cork bark. Then I have this little, what I believe is some sort of arrowhead plant, I can’t remember what it is. It’s safe obviously. Then this is a nice little dieffenbachia. I just pulled the dead leaf off of it and then a camouflaged dieffenbachia.
Then back here is a pothos. It’s a variegated pothos. Here is my joy pothos, I believe, that’s what this is. Sorry, this isn’t scripted or anything. I will make sure that that’s what these are called. There’s my little air plant and a neon pothos or golden pothos. I think it’s a young golden pothos. Here is her cold hide with a little bromeliad or bromeliad, whatever you want to call it.
That’s pretty much the hides. Now here is her water dish. I’m just going to fill this up with some more water. Wow, a water dish filled with water, who would have thought? I’m just going to dig this little hole here, I don’t know why I’m narrating this. I just want to.
I’m just going to scoop out this little hole here. I’m placing the water dish in this little place. This little divot thingy that I dug out. I don’t know what I’m saying anymore, it’s just time to add in the water. I always love adding in the water because, why not? I’m just adjusting around it to make it look more natural, I guess is a good word for it.
Speaker 1: I just decided to add in this new little piece of fake wood, because she really does enjoy climbing and eating off of it sometimes. Just different things she likes exploring. Let’s put her in. Oh my God, am so excited to see what she’ll do. Obviously, this is a voiceover, so I already knew what she did, but I can’t wait to see it again and have you guys watch her just explore around and everything. She loved it so much. Let’s just cue some nice music and watch her explore, because why not? I really hope she does cherish and enjoy this enclosure and have a much better quality of life than she would in a rack system or just something that’s pretty basic. I think she’ll really utilize all this space and will utilize all of this enrichment. Let’s just watch her.
Speaker 1: All right, guys, well, thank you so much for watching this video. I really really hope you enjoyed it. I had so much fun setting up her enclosure. It was just so much fun and I think it turned out really nice. Let me know what you guys think down in the comments. Do you like it? Do you think it’s pretty? Do you think she likes it? Because she was exploring a lot and I think she did. A huge shout-out to Custom Cages for helping me get these cages because I love them, they’re wonderful, they’re beautiful and I just love them. Thank you guys so much for watching this video. I really hope you enjoyed it. Bye guys.
